അതിന്നു ശൂഹ്യനായ ബില്ദാദ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

ആധിപത്യവും ഭയങ്കരത്വവും അവന്റെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടു; തന്റെ ഉന്നതസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ അവൻ സമാധാനം പാലിക്കുന്നു.
Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

അവന്റെ സൈന്യങ്ങൾക്കു സംഖ്യയുണ്ടോ? അവന്റെ പ്രകാശം ആർക്കു ഉദിക്കാതെയിരിക്കുന്നു?
Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

മർത്യൻ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ എങ്ങനെ നീതിമാനാകും? സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ചവൻ എങ്ങനെ നിർമ്മലനാകും?
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

ചന്ദ്രന്നുപോലും ശോഭയില്ലല്ലോ; നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും തൃക്കണ്ണിന്നു ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവയല്ല.
Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

പിന്നെ പുഴുവായിരിക്കുന്ന മർത്യനും കൃമിയായിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനും എങ്ങനെ?
How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
