39 : 1
പാറയിലെ കാട്ടാടുകളുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്കറിയാമോ? മാൻ പേടകളുടെ ഈറ്റുനോവു നീ കാണുമോ?
Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?

39 : 2
അവെക്കു ഗർഭം തികയുന്ന മാസം നിനക്കു കണക്കു കൂട്ടാമോ? അവയുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്കു അറിയാമോ?
Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

39 : 3
അവ കുനിഞ്ഞു കുട്ടികളെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണത്തിൽ വേദന കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.

39 : 4
അവയുടെ കുട്ടികൾ ബലപ്പെട്ടു കാട്ടിൽ വളരുന്നു; അവ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകുന്നു; മടങ്ങിവരുന്നതുമില്ല.
Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

39 : 5
കാട്ടുകഴുതയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടതു ആർ? വനഗർദ്ദഭത്തെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചതാർ?
Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?

39 : 6
ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയെ അതിന്നു വീടും ഉവർന്നിലത്തെ അതിന്നു പാർപ്പിടവുമാക്കി.
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

39 : 7
അതു പട്ടണത്തിലെ ആരവം കേട്ടു ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തെളിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഒച്ച കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.

39 : 8
മലനിരകൾ അതിന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറമാകുന്നു; പച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും അതു തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു.
The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

39 : 9
കാട്ടുപോത്തു നിന്നെ വഴിപ്പെട്ടു സേവിക്കുമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പുല്തൊട്ടിക്കരികെ രാപാർക്കുമോ?
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

39 : 10
കാട്ടു പോത്തിനെ നിനക്കു കയറിട്ടു ഉഴവിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകാമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നിലം നിരത്തുമോ?
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

39 : 11
അതിന്റെ ശക്തി വലുതാകയാൽ നീ അതിനെ വിശ്വസിക്കുമോ? നിന്റെ വേല നീ അതിന്നു ഭരമേല്പിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുമോ?
Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

39 : 12
അതു നിന്റെ വിത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുമെന്നും നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരയിൽ കൂട്ടുമെന്നും നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുമോ?
Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

39 : 13
ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷി ഉല്ലസിച്ചു ചിറകു വീശുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ചിറകും തൂവലുംകൊണ്ടു വാത്സല്യം കാണിക്കുമോ?
Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

39 : 14
അതു നിലത്തു മുട്ട ഇട്ടേച്ചുപോകുന്നു; അവയെ പൊടിയിൽ വെച്ചു വിരിക്കുന്നു.
Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

39 : 15
കാൽകൊണ്ടു അവ ഉടഞ്ഞുപോയേക്കുമെന്നോ കാട്ടുമൃഗം അവയെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞേക്കുമെന്നോ അതു ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല.
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

39 : 16
അതു തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോടു തനിക്കുള്ളവയല്ല എന്നപോലെ കാഠിന്യം കാണിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രയത്നം വ്യർത്ഥമായ്പോകുമെന്നു ഭയപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.
She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;

39 : 17
ദൈവം അതിന്നു ജ്ഞാനമില്ലാതാക്കി വിവേകം അതിന്നു നല്കീട്ടുമില്ല.
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

39 : 18
അതു ചിറകടിച്ചു പൊങ്ങി ഓടുമ്പോൾ കുതിരയെയും പുറത്തു കയറിയവനെയും പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.

39 : 19
കുതിരെക്കു നീയോ ശക്തി കൊടുത്തതു? അതിന്റെ കഴുത്തിന്നു നീയോ കുഞ്ചിരോമം അണിയിച്ചതു?
Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?

39 : 20
നിനക്കു അതിനെ വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ ചാടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ ഹുങ്കാരപ്രതാപം ഭയങ്കരം.
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

39 : 21
അതു താഴ്വരയിൽ മാന്തി ഊക്കോടെ ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നു. അതു ആയുധപാണികളെ എതിർത്തുചെല്ലുന്നു.
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.

39 : 22
അതു കൂശാതെ ഭയത്തെ പുച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; വാളിനോടു പിൻവാങ്ങി മണ്ടുന്നതുമില്ല.
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.

39 : 23
അതിന്നു എതിരെ ആവനാഴിയും മിന്നുന്ന കുന്തവും ശൂലവും കിലുകിലുക്കുന്നു.
The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.

39 : 24
അതു ഉഗ്രതയും കോപവും പൂണ്ടു നിലം വിഴുങ്ങുന്നു; കാഹളനാദം കേട്ടാൽ അതു അടങ്ങിനിൽക്കയില്ല.
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

39 : 25
കാഹളനാദം ധ്വനിക്കുന്തോറും അതു ഹാ, ഹാ എന്നു ചിനെക്കുന്നു; പടയും പടനായകന്മാരുടെ മുഴക്കവും ആർപ്പും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു മണക്കുന്നു.
He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

39 : 26
നിന്റെ വിവേകത്താലോ പരുന്തു പറക്കയും ചിറകു തെക്കോട്ടു വിടർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു?
Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

39 : 27
നിന്റെ കല്പനെക്കോ കഴുകൻ മേലോട്ടു പറക്കയും ഉയരത്തിൽ കൂടുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു?
Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?

39 : 28
അതു പാറയിൽ കുടിയേറി രാപാർക്കുന്നു; പാറമുകളിലും ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിലും തന്നേ.
She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.

39 : 29
അവിടെനിന്നു അതു ഇര തിരയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കണ്ണു ദൂരത്തേക്കു കാണുന്നു.
From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.

39 : 30
അതിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുകൾ ചോര വലിച്ചു കുടിക്കുന്നു. പട്ടുപോയവർ എവിടെയോ അവിടെ അതുണ്ടു.
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
