2 : 1
അതുകൊണ്ടു നാം വല്ലപ്പോഴും ഒഴുകിപ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കേട്ടതു അധികം ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കരുതിക്കൊൾവാൻ ആവശ്യമാകുന്നു.
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2 : 2
ദൂതന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കയും ഓരോരോ ലംഘനത്തിന്നും അനുസരണക്കേടിന്നും ന്യായമായ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കയും ചെയ്തു എങ്കിൽ
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

2 : 3
കർത്താവു താൻ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിയതും ദൈവം അടയാളങ്ങളാലും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളാലും വിവിധവീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളാലും തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ നല്കിക്കൊണ്ടും സാക്ഷി നിന്നതും കേട്ടവർ
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

2 : 4
നമുക്കു ഉറപ്പിച്ചുതന്നതുമായ ഇത്ര വലിയ രക്ഷ നാം ഗണ്യമാക്കാതെ പോയാൽ എങ്ങനെ തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും?
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

2 : 5
നാം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്ന ഭാവിലോകത്തെ അവൻ ദൂതന്മാർക്കല്ലല്ലോ കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയതു.
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

2 : 6
എന്നാൽ “മനുഷ്യനെ നീ ഓർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എന്തു? മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ സന്ദർശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എന്തുമാത്രം?
But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?

2 : 7
നീ അവനെ ദൂതന്മാരെക്കാൾ അല്പം മാത്രം താഴ്ത്തി; തേജസ്സും ബഹുമാനവും അവനെ അണിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കു നീ അവനെ അധിപതി ആക്കി,
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

2 : 8
സകലവും അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ഒരുവൻ ഒരേടത്തു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു. സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴാക്കിയതിൽ ഒന്നിനെയും കീഴ്പെടുത്താതെ വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടതായി കാണുന്നില്ല.
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

2 : 9
എങ്കിലും ദൈവകൃപയാൽ എല്ലാവർക്കും വേണ്ടി മരണം ആസ്വദിപ്പാൻ ദൂതന്മാരിലും അല്പം ഒരു താഴ്ചവന്നവനായ യേശു മരണം അനുഭവിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ മഹത്വവും ബഹുമാനവും അണിഞ്ഞവനായി നാം കാണുന്നു.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

2 : 10
സകലത്തിന്നും ലാക്കും സകലത്തിന്നും കാരണഭൂതനുമായവൻ അനേകം പുത്രന്മാരെ തേജസ്സിലേക്കു നടത്തുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രക്ഷാനായകനെ കഷ്ടാനുഭവങ്ങളാൽ തികഞ്ഞവനാക്കുന്നതു യുക്തം ആയിരുന്നു.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

2 : 11
വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നവന്നും വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവർക്കും എല്ലാം ഒരുവനല്ലോ പിതാവു; അതു ഹേതുവായി അവൻ അവരെ സഹോദരന്മാർ എന്നു വിളിപ്പാൻ ലജ്ജിക്കാതെ:
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

2 : 12
“ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു കീർത്തിക്കും; സഭാമദ്ധ്യേ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും”
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

2 : 13
എന്നും “ഞാൻ അവനിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും” എന്നും ഇതാ, ഞാനും ദൈവം എനിക്കു തന്ന മക്കളും” എന്നും പറയുന്നു.
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

2 : 14
മക്കൾ ജഡരക്തങ്ങളോടു കൂടിയവർ ആകകൊണ്ടു അവനും അവരെപ്പോലെ ജഡരക്തങ്ങളോടു കൂടിയവനായി മരണത്തിന്റെ അധികാരിയായ പിശാചിനെ
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

2 : 15
തന്റെ മരണത്താൽ നീക്കി ജീവപര്യന്തം മരണഭീതിയാൽ അടിമകളായിരുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും വിടുവിച്ചു.
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

2 : 16
ദൂതന്മാരെ സംരക്ഷണചെയ്‍വാനല്ല അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ സംരക്ഷണ ചെയ്‍വാനത്രേ അവൻ വന്നതു.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

2 : 17
അതുകൊണ്ടു ജനത്തിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം വരുത്തുവാൻ അവൻ കരുണയുള്ളവനും ദൈവകാര്യത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തമഹാപുരോഹിതനും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു സകലത്തിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു സദൃശനായിത്തീരുവാൻ ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

2 : 18
താൻ തന്നേ പരീക്ഷിതനായി കഷ്ടമനുഭവിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവർക്കു സഹായിപ്പാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവൻ ആകുന്നു.
For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
