8 : 1
നീ എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മുലകുടിച്ച സഹോദരൻ ആയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ! ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വെളിയിൽ കണ്ടു ചുംബിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ആരും എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.
O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

8 : 2
നീ എനിക്കു ഉപദേശം തരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അമ്മയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുമായിരുന്നു; സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം ചേർത്ത വീഞ്ഞും എന്റെ മാതളപ്പഴത്തിൻ ചാറും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ തരുമായിരുന്നു.
I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

8 : 3
അവന്റെ ഇടങ്കൈ എന്റെ തലയിൻ കീഴെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവന്റെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ ആശ്ളേഷിക്കട്ടെ.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

8 : 4
യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, പ്രേമത്തിന്നു ഇഷ്ടമാകുവോളം അതിനെ ഇളക്കരുതു ഉണർത്തുകയുമരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ആണയിട്ടപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.

8 : 5
മരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു തന്റെ പ്രിയന്റെ മേൽ ചാരിക്കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നോരിവൾ ആർ? നാരകത്തിൻ ചുവട്ടിൽവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉണർത്തി; അവിടെ വെച്ചല്ലോ നിന്റെ അമ്മ നിന്നെ പ്രസവിച്ചതു; അവിടെവെച്ചല്ലോ നിന്നെ പെറ്റവൾക്കു ഈറ്റുനോവു കിട്ടിയതു.
Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

8 : 6
എന്നെ ഒരു മുദ്രമോതിരമായി നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു മുദ്രമോതിരമായി നിന്റെ ഭുജത്തിന്മേലും വെച്ചുകൊള്ളേണമേ; പ്രേമം മരണംപോലെ ബലമുള്ളതും പത്നീവ്രതശങ്ക പാതാളംപോലെ കടുപ്പമുള്ളതും ആകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ജ്വലനം അഗ്നിജ്വലനവും ഒരു ദിവ്യജ്വാലയും തന്നേ.
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

8 : 7
ഏറിയ വെള്ളങ്ങൾ പ്രേമത്തെ കെടുപ്പാൻ പോരാ; നദികൾ അതിനെ മുക്കിക്കളകയില്ല. ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിലുള്ള സർവ്വസമ്പത്തും പ്രേമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി കൊടുത്താലും അവനെ നിന്ദിച്ചുകളയും.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

8 : 8
നമുക്കു ഒരു ചെറിയ പെങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടു; അവൾക്കു സ്തനങ്ങൾ വന്നിട്ടില്ല; നമ്മുടെ പെങ്ങൾക്കു കല്യാണം പറയുന്നനാളിൽ നാം അവൾക്കു വേണ്ടി എന്തു ചെയ്യും?
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

8 : 9
അവൾ ഒരു മതിൽ എങ്കിൽ അതിന്മേൽ ഒരു വെള്ളിമകുടം പണിയാമായിരുന്നു; ഒരു വാതിൽ എങ്കിൽ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു അടെക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

8 : 10
ഞാൻ മതിലും എന്റെ സ്തനങ്ങൾ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ സമാധാനം പ്രാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.

8 : 11
ശലോമോന്നു ബാൽഹാമോനിൽ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം അവൻ കാവൽക്കാരെ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അതിന്റെ പാട്ടമായിട്ടു, ഓരോരുത്തൻ ആയിരം പണം വീതം കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.

8 : 12
എന്റെ സ്വന്ത മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം എന്റെ കൈവശം ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ശലോമോനേ, നിനക്കു ആയിരവും ഫലം കാക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഇരുനൂറും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.
My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

8 : 13
ഉദ്യാനനിവാസിനിയേ, സഖിമാർ നിന്റെ സ്വരം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേൾക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്നെയും കേൾപ്പിക്കേണമേ.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.

8 : 14
എന്റെ പ്രിയാ നീ പരിമളപർവ്വതങ്ങളിലെ ചെറുമാനിന്നും കലകൂട്ടിക്കും തുല്യനായി ഓടിപ്പോക.
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
