4 : 1
അവകാശി സർവ്വത്തിന്നും യജമാനൻ എങ്കിലും ശിശുവായിരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം ദാസനെക്കാൾ ഒട്ടും വിശേഷതയുള്ളവനല്ല,
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

4 : 2
പിതാവു നിശ്ചയിച്ച അവധിയോളം രക്ഷകന്മാർക്കും ഗൃഹവിചാരകന്മാർക്കും കീഴ്പെട്ടവനത്രേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

4 : 3
അതുപോലെ നാമും ശിശുക്കൾ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആദി പാഠങ്ങളിൻ കീഴ് അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

4 : 4
എന്നാൽ കാലസമ്പൂർണ്ണതവന്നപ്പോൾ ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ സ്ത്രീയിൽനിന്നു ജനിച്ചവനായി ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴ് ജനിച്ചവനായി നിയോഗിച്ചയച്ചതു
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

4 : 5
അവൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവരെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിട്ടു നാം പുത്രത്വം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

4 : 6
നിങ്ങൾ മക്കൾ ആകകൊണ്ടു അബ്ബാ പിതാവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്ന സ്വപുത്രന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ അയച്ചു.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

4 : 7
അങ്ങനെ നീ ഇനി ദാസനല്ല പുത്രനത്രെ; പുത്രനെങ്കിലോ ദൈവഹിതത്താൽ അവകാശിയും ആകുന്നു.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

4 : 8
എന്നാൽ അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ അറിയാതെ സ്വഭാവത്താൽ ദൈവങ്ങളല്ലാത്തവർക്കു അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

4 : 9
ഇപ്പോഴോ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞും വിശേഷാൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ അറിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങൾ പിന്നെയും ബലഹീനവും ദരിദ്രവുമായ ആദിപാഠങ്ങളിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവെക്കു പുതുതായി അടിമപ്പെടുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

4 : 10
നിങ്ങൾ ദിവസങ്ങളും മാസങ്ങളും കാലങ്ങളും ആണ്ടുകളും പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു.
Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

4 : 11
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചതു വെറുതെയായി എന്നു ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.
I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

4 : 12
സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളേപ്പോലെ ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും എന്നെപ്പോലെ ആകുവാൻ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു ഒരു അന്യായവും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.
Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.

4 : 13
ഞാൻ ശരീരത്തിലെ ബലഹീനതനിമിത്തം ഒന്നാമതു നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

4 : 14
എന്റെ ശരീരസംബന്ധമായി നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടായ പരീക്ഷനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾ നിന്ദയോ വെറുപ്പോ കാണിക്കാതെ ദൈവദൂതനെപ്പോലെ, ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊൾകയത്രേ ചെയ്തതു.
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

4 : 15
നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗ്യപ്രശംസ എവിടെ? കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു ചൂന്നെടുത്തു എനിക്കു തരുമായിരുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ സാക്ഷി.
Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

4 : 16
അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളോടു സത്യം പറകകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ശത്രുവായിപ്പോയോ?
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

4 : 17
അവർ നിങ്ങളെക്കറിച്ചു എരിവു കാണിക്കുന്നതു ഗുണത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല; നിങ്ങളും അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു എരിവു കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തിട്ടു അടെച്ചുകളവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കയത്രെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

4 : 18
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമല്ല എല്ലായ്പോഴും നല്ല കാര്യത്തിൽ എരിവു കാണിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു.
But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.

4 : 19
ക്രിസ്തു നിങ്ങളിൽ ഉരുവാകുവോളം ഞാൻ പിന്നെയും പ്രസവവേദനപ്പെടുന്നവരായ എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ,
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

4 : 20
ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരുന്നു എന്റെ ശബ്ദം മാറ്റുവൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു വിഷമിക്കുന്നു.
I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.

4 : 21
ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴിരിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേൾക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

4 : 22
എന്നോടു പറവിൻ. അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുവൻ ദാസി പ്രസവിച്ചവൻ, ഒരുവൻ സ്വതന്ത്ര പ്രസവിച്ചവൻ എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

4 : 23
ദാസിയുടെ മകൻ ജഡപ്രകാരവും സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മകനോ വാഗ്ദത്തത്താലും ജനിച്ചിരുന്നു.
But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

4 : 24
ഇതു സാദൃശ്യമാകുന്നു. ഈ സ്ത്രീകൾ രണ്ടു നിയമങ്ങൾ അത്രേ; ഒന്നു സീനായ്മലയിൽനിന്നു ഉണ്ടായി അടിമകളെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഹാഗർ.
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

4 : 25
ഹാഗർ എന്നുതു അറബിദേശത്തു സീനായ്മലയെക്കുറിക്കുന്നു. അതു ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ യെരൂശലേമിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നു; അതു തന്റെ മക്കളോടുകൂടെ അടിമയിലല്ലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു.
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

4 : 26
മീതെയുള്ള യെരൂശലേമോ സ്വതന്ത്രയാകുന്നു. അവൾ തന്നേ നമ്മുടെ അമ്മ.
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

4 : 27
“പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയേ, ആനന്ദിക്ക; നോവുകിട്ടാത്തവളേ, പൊട്ടി ആർക്കുക; ഏകാകിനിയുടെ മക്കൾ ഭർത്താവുള്ളവളുടെ മക്കളെക്കാൾ അധികം” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

4 : 28
നാമോ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെപ്പോലെ വാഗ്ദത്തത്താൽ ജനിച്ച മക്കൾ ആകുന്നു.
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

4 : 29
എന്നാൽ അന്നു ജഡപ്രകാരം ജനിച്ചവൻ ആത്മപ്രകാരം ജനിച്ചവനെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇന്നു കാണുന്നു.
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

4 : 30
തിരുവെഴുത്തോ എന്തുപറയുന്നു ദാസിയെയും മകനെയും പുറത്താക്കിക്കളക; ദാസിയുടെ മകൻ സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മകനോടുകൂടെ അവകാശി ആകയില്ല.
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

4 : 31
അങ്ങനെ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നാം ദാസിയുടെ മക്കളല്ല സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മക്കളത്രേ.
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
