49 : 1
സകല ജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഇതു കേൾപ്പിൻ; സകലഭൂവാസികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, ചെവിക്കൊൾവിൻ.
Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

49 : 2
സാമാന്യജനവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠജനവും ധനവാന്മാരും ദരിദ്രന്മാരും തന്നേ.
Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

49 : 3
എന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കും; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ധ്യാനം വിവേകം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കും.
My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

49 : 4
ഞാൻ സദൃശവാക്യത്തിന്നു എന്റെ ചെവിചായക്കും; കിന്നരനാദത്തോടെ എന്റെ കടങ്കഥ കേൾപ്പിക്കും.
I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

49 : 5
അകൃത്യം എന്റെ കുതികാലിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു എന്നെ വളയുന്ന ദുഷ്കാലത്തു ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?
Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

49 : 6
അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും ധനസമൃദ്ധിയിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

49 : 7
സഹോദരൻ ശവക്കുഴി കാണാതെ എന്നെന്നേക്കും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു
None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

49 : 8
അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനോ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില കൊടുപ്പാനോ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ല.
(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

49 : 9
അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു വിലയേറിയതു; അതു ഒരുനാളും സാധിക്കയില്ല.
That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

49 : 10
ജ്ഞാനികൾ മരിക്കയും മൂഢനും മൃഗപ്രായനും ഒരുപോലെ നശിക്കയും തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പാദ്യം മറ്റുള്ളവർക്കു വിട്ടേച്ചു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.
For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

49 : 11
തങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനങ്ങൾ ശാശ്വതമായും തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങൾ തലമുറതലമുറയായും നില്ക്കും. എന്നിങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തർഗ്ഗതം; തങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങൾക്കു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പേരിടുന്നു.
Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

49 : 12
എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യൻ ബഹുമാനത്തിൽ നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല. അവൻ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു തുല്യൻ.
Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

49 : 13
ഇതു സ്വയാശ്രയക്കാരുടെ ഗതിയാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ അനന്തരവരോ അവരുടെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. സേലാ
This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

49 : 14
അവരെ പാതാളത്തിന്നു ആടുകളായി ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മൃത്യു അവരെ മേയിക്കുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവർ പുലർച്ചെക്കു അവരുടെമേൽ വാഴും; അവരുടെ രൂപം ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; പാതാളം അവരുടെ പാർപ്പിടം.
Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

49 : 15
എങ്കിലും എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ദൈവം പാതാളത്തിന്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കും; അവൻ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും. സേലാ.
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

49 : 16
ഒരുത്തൻ ധനവാനായിത്തീർന്നാലും അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം വർദ്ധിച്ചാലും നീ ഭയപ്പെടരുതു.
Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

49 : 17
അവൻ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യാതൊന്നും കൊണ്ടുപോകയില്ല; അവന്റെ മഹത്വം അവനെ പിൻചെല്ലുകയുമില്ല.
For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

49 : 18
അവൻ ജീവനോടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ താൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; നീ നിനക്കു തന്നേ നന്മ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യർ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും.
Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.

49 : 19
അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ തലമുറയോടു ചെന്നു ചേരും; അവർ ഒരുനാളും വെളിച്ചം കാണുകയില്ല.
He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.

49 : 20
മാനത്തോടിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ വിവേകഹീനനായാൽ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു തുല്യനത്രേ.
Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
